I hate giving money and gift cards as gifts. I don’t really know why because most people (including myself) love getting them. I just always felt like it was impersonal and put a value on the gift. Since my family moved to NC and the rest of them are all in NY it is so much easier to mail money or gift cards. By the time you pay for postage on a present you could have bought another gift.
